The United Kennel Club announced today the official recognition of the Perro de Presa Canario. Dogs registered with the US or foreign registries are immediately eligible to compete in performance events including Obedience, Weight Pull, and Agility.
Beginning in 2004, UKC Protection (Schutzhund) will also be available.Conformation will await adoption of an official standard and the training of judges.
To enter into any UKC performance event, you may obtain a temporary listing from the UKC web site, or at many events on the day of the event. Check with the event coordinator on the availability of temporary listings
