Today is 74 years from day when he was murdered by soviets during World War II. Eugeniusz Bodo (1899 – 1943) was a film director, producer and one of the most popular Polish actors and comedians of the inter-war period. Pictured here along his side is his beloved dog Sambo, harlequin Great Dane with he received as a gift from his mother around year 1931. Sambo was not less known as his owner and could enter all cafe’s and restaurants. When during WWII Eugenusz Bodo was send to Guag where he died Sambo stayed with his family in Warsaw. Sambo died during Warsaw uprising.
