Puppies can go to their new homes when they are 7-8 weeks old. But sometimes when traveling, especially abroad there are additional restrictions and regulations. When traveling around USA some state laws require puppies to be at least 8 weeks old. When traveling abroad destination and transit countries laws apply and on average it’s required that puppy is microchipped, vaccinated against rabies at 12 weeks old or older and can travel 21-30 days after this vaccination. Sometimes additional rules apply towards additional mandatory vaccinations and preventives against internal and external parasites. Some countries request antibody test for rabies and have more complicated rules of import and quarantine.
